The thesis motivates the student to research on an issue related to the Department's courses and maximizes the Department's effectiveness regarding its mission and the students' ambitions.

The faculty members submit to the sector thesis topics compatible with the technological nature of the institutions. The topics are announced to the students and in cooperation with the professor they fill in the appropriate form.

Following the professor's approval and the thesis's completion, four copies of it are submitted to the Department. The Department's committee assigns the three-member examining committee as well as the presentation date.

The committee attends the presentation and pose questions in order to ensure the adequacy and the completeness in the topic's elaboration and they come up with the responding grade.
