AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT and AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT

The Department of Agricultural Development and Agribusiness Management (formerly Department of Farm Management) of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki.

"With PD 9 / 2009 (Official Gazette 21/09.02.2009) Department of Farm Management was renamed the Department of AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT and AGRIBUSINES MANAGEMENT.

The administration of the Department is conducted by:

         The General Assembly

         The Department Committee

         The Head of the Department

         The two Heads of the Course Sectors

The General Assembly consists of the faculty staff of the Department and student representatives at 40% of the total number of faculty staff members. The General Assembly decides on matters which determine the course of the Department and educational activities.

The Department Committee is comprised of the Head of the Department, the two Heads of courses and a student representative. The Head of the Department is elected every 3 years. He coordinates the educational and all related activities of the Department according to the relevant regulatory framework and the decisions of the collective bodies. He represents the Department to internal and external activities and events, has the ability to appoint and transfer duties to the staff of the Department according to the applicable regulations.

The administrative bodies of each sector are the General Assembly and the Head of Course Sector.

The General Assembly of the Course Sector is comprised of the faculty staff of the sector and two student representatives.

The Head of the Course Sector is annually elected.
